All these styles have different skill sets and often will fit with different personality types. In this article, we are going to talk more about the physical, mental, and tactical attributes of the art that is valuable for every style of fighter from the brawler to the chameleon.

Each one of these skills will take a fighter years to truly understand. The reason for this article is not so much to go into detail about each individual skill, it is to help you see the many different areas we need to enhance to improve our abilities.

As a coach, it is good to have these ideas in mind when you are watching your fighters. Often, I see beginning

coaches missing many of these strategies because they may not have had them explained to them. Many of these things we learn the hard way and some we never learn at all. If we can at least have a map that points us in the direction often many of these things will explain themselves.

Stay tuned I will have future blog posts where I will go into more details on how these individual strategies can be applied.
