Ashton Kutcher vs. Conor McGregor. Everyone in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community knows who Master Rigan Machado is and what an impact he has had on the sport. Not only is his competition record so amazing that most jiu jitsu competitors stand in ahh of his success, but he has also made an amazing impact on the evolution of the art.
Master Rigan has been traveling around the world promoting jiu jitsu since the 80’s. He has trained many influential people in the sport today and is respected highly in the Brazillian Jiu Jitsu community.
When a reporter asked Master Machado who would win in a match between Ashton Kutcher and Conor McGregor he said: “I put all my money (on) Ashton Kutcher. I think he could do really, really good. He’s 200 pounds, 6-2, 6-3, he’s the best. Ashton Kutcher, for me, is my No. 1 student. He’s a purple belt but he has a really good background in wrestling. I think he has a chance to be one of the top guys in jiu-jitsu.”
Ashton Kutcher vs. Conor McGregor
This would be a fun match up for sure. Kutcher does have a size advantage over McGregor, but could he defeat him?
I invite Master Machado to Portland at least once or twice a year to come to my academy to share his knowledge with us. He likes this little hole in the wall coffee shop in NW Portland. So every morning during his stay we always drop in and have a morning cup.
I enjoy this time because every chance I have to pick his brain about his competition strategies and ideas about the game are like gold to me.
When he was actively competing he would pick 3 techniques every day and drill them 250 times each.
If you are a BJJ practitioner try it, pick your favorite technique and go drill it 250 times in one training session. Doing this with three techniques every day is amazing and takes more discipline than most can imagine.
He was a 8 time World champion which is awesome. To understand the effort and energy Master Machado put in to his competition career is amazing.
He has proven his skills on the mat many times over. So when he says with out a doubt Kutcher would prevail it is not to be tossed aside.
If the fight ever does take place it will draw attention and would definitely be hit to McGregor’s ego if Kutcher did get the tap. Check out some of Master Rigan’s Techniques at NWfighting.com.
