The videos on this page are designed to help you begin to develop your Tai Chi practice. Remember that the foundation of the many benefits of the arts is a daily practice. As you get started this can be anywhere from 15-30 minutes a day. For many this will be enough to maintain health and enhance vitality. If you choose to go further there are branches of Tai Chi where the results you see from your efforts are profound. We’ll get into that later though.

For now let’s focus on the initial purpose of the training. What ever your end goals the initial step is
to commit to take a little time Every day to strengthen yourself and clear your mind. With the combination of vitality and focus much becomes possible.

In the Tai Chi form video you will see professor Jeff leading though the first section of the Sam Tam form.Try to follow and practice this 3-5 times a day.

In the second video you will see the first three Yichuan postures. Try to work this standing mediation for 10-15 minutes on a regular basis. This can be done everyday if you have the time.

The third video is of the 4 count breathing qigong set. Restoring the quality of your breath will produce immediate results in improved vitality and health practice this everyday during your session and remind yourself to pay attention to your breath anytime you can throughout your day.

 

A good starting practice is:
  • 10-15 minutes of breathwork
  • 10-15 minutes of yichuan
  • 10-15 minutes of Tai Chi Formwork.
  • Enjoy your practice!
