I’ve been training at NW Fighting for about 4 years now. I train specifically in Muay Thai Kickboxing as well as Jiu Jitsu under Professor Jeff Patterson. Jeff and his team of coaches have really helped me with not only getting healthy, loosing weight but also building and developing my skills as a martial arts practitioner.
Coach Jeff, Russel, Karl, Erik, Daniel, Shelby and Eric are some of the nicest folks you’ll meet. They are not only my coaches but my friends. The community is a big part of my training experience and I look forward to see them all each day.

This gym is amazing! The people who work here are kind and respectful, helpful, personable. The instruction is focused and coaches helped me to reach goals. The community surrounding the gym is inviting. I love being at the gym and involving myself in the community surrounding it. The BJJ program is fantastic as well as the boxing/muay thai and internal arts! NWFA offers a lot of wonderful instruction without spreading themselves thin. Cannot say enough about this place and the people.

I’ve been attending classes at NWFA for many years, and I find myself constantly learning new things. All the people I’ve had a chance to train with are super friendly, and the instructors are very helpful. Staying motivated has rarely been a problem, and with all the different systems offered there, I feel like I will never run out of things to learn. I have the utmost respect for all the instructors, and highly recommend taking classes here.

Full Disclosure: I’ve worked for Northwest Fighting Arts for a little over 2 years now. However, I started training there as a student a year and a half before that. The reason I wanted to work here was because I enjoyed the atmosphere and culture so much. In fact, every single employee at Northwest Fighting Arts started out as a student first and then started working there later. I can’t think of another business where every employee works there specifically because they liked the product so much.
I personally practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Tai Chi, and Qigong.

I’ve trained at NWFA with Sifu Jeff for about 10 years now. I’m still learning! At this point I am what many would consider a skilled teacher and practitioner of several of the disciplines taught at the academy. I love that I haven’t even begun to tap the well of knowledge and that the training is truly a lifetime of development. I am thirty-five at the time of writing this…. many of my peers talk only of how old they have started to feel and other negative points of view. I credit the training I’ve had with the fact that I only grow stronger and more positive with each passing year of my life. Here’s looking forward to the next 60 years!

I’ve been training here with Sifu Jeff for over 10 years now, and I’m always looking forward to my next session. Sifu’s passion for martial arts seems to attract students that are serious about learning. Being surrounded by like-minded enthusiasts has allowed me to feel supported and really grow with my art.

My studies at NWIA have taught me to relax, helping me overcome the fast pace of modern life. This low impact exercise is perfect for me, I can improve my flexibility as I work muscles I have never developed in my previous 60 years.
